A Message from the Principal

On behalf of everyone at Parteen National School, (pupils, staff, parents, members of the Board of Management and Parents Association) I welcome you to our school website. I feel privileged to serve as Principal of Parteen National School. We offer a fantastic holistic educational experience to the pupils in our care, and create opportunities for our pupils to experience a wide variety of learning experiences, to cater for each child’s unique learning style.

Our beautiful school is situated in the village of Parteen, County Clare, close to the banks of the River Shannon.

Parteen National School is a co-educational school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Limerick. We currently have 293 pupils enrolled.

We are extremely proud of all our pupils. The level of talent that manifests in our pupils year after year is incredible - their work ethic, commitment and level of engagement is to be commended.

The parents of Parteen National School are an invaluable resource and we really appreciate their huge contribution to making our school a more enjoyable place to be. Recent developments would not have been possible at the school without their support, in particular the astroturf pitch, the playground and the sensory room.

The tremendous voluntary work of our Board of Management is also greatly appreciated. Their guidance and support in managing the school is vitally important.

We are very fortunate to have extremely dedicated teachers and staff in Parteen, who constantly strive to provide an enjoyable educational experience for our pupils. Our wish for all our pupils is that each child reaches their full potential and has a happy, fulfilling experience in our school.

If you have any queries about our school, please fell free to contact us. We look forward to an ongoing, fruitful collaboration and your continued support in the future.

Is mise le fíor-mheas,

Miriam Smyth
