Our school community are busy reading night and day in order to meet our challenging but achievable target of 1,000,000 minutes by March. The Million Minutes team organise displays and weekly announcements to keep us motivated. Watch this space to see if we meet our target!

We have an excellent relationship with Munster Rugby Club and our pupils thoroughly enjoy our sessions with their coaches. They learn a huge amount of skills and fundamental movements to develop their agility and most importantly their love of the game.

Parteen School were delighted to be chosen as one of the pilot schools for the new Primary Languages Sampler Module. As part of this programme the school has received funding to provide Spanish classes to over 100 pupils from 3rd to 5th Class.

All pupils from Junior Infants to 6th Class had an opportunity to develop their coordination and learn new skills in our Circus Workshop. They enjoyed using juggling balls, spinning plates, diablos and more! Everyone had a huge amount of fun doing something very different for a day!

Staff, pupils and other members of our school community enjoyed working together to raise funds for Milford Hospice charity. With a visit from Davy Fitzgerald and a chance for members of our school community, including our pupils, to cycle a huge distance to raise funds; the event was a huge success!

Our school enjoyed a very active Halloween Hooley starting with a dance around the yard led by our principal, Ms Smyth, and all of the teachers. The pupils had an opportunity to take part in many Active Flag activities while dressed in a range of very creative and spooky costumes.
